September is Classical Music Month

September 26, 2019 by Kara Pound Leave a Comment

In 1994, President Bill Clinton designated September as Classical Music Month. Therefore, what better way to toast the National Classical Music Month than announcing SAMF 2020! Mark your calendar for the 14th Annual St. Augustine Music Festival, which will be held at the beautiful historic Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine on June 18th, 19th, and 20th and again on June 25th, 26th, and 27th.

2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote. For its 14th Annual Music Festival, SAMF will recognize women in music from performers to composers. Stay tuned for our future newsletters and blog posts to learn more about the 2020 performances.
