French Impressionism in Art and Music Fundraiser

December 6 @ 1:00 pm

$50

A Collaboration Between the St. Augustine Music Festival and the St. Augustine Art Association

The era of Impressionism was revolutionary for its time. French Impressionist painters created art that showed the interplay between light and color, and the music of this time conveyed the moods and emotions aroused by the subject rather than hearing detailed tone. On Sunday, December 6th, STAAA and SAMF will come together to uplift the spirits of the community with an amazing art exhibit and concert fundraiser celebrating the Impressionist style.

The world-class musicians of the St. Augustine Music Festival Chamber Orchestra will perform works from Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, two of the major Impressionist composers. This fundraising performance will feature Gabriela Peña-Kim and Siyu Zhang on Violin, Aaron Lenrian on Piano, Jorge A. Peña on Viola, and Jin Kim on Cello.

Register and purchase tickets for $50 a person at http://www.staaa.org/impressionism-in-art-music/. Seating is limited and Covid social distancing regulations will be used, including wearing face coverings. For more information call STAAA at 904.824.2310.
